Investing in Real Estate

Advantages-and-Disadvantages-of-Real-Estate-Investing-2

Real Estate Can Be Easier to Understand

When you start investing, it can be difficult to understand everything you need to know to make a profit. Many types of investments rely on abstract concepts and complex algorithms, which are especially difficult to understand.

Real estate, on the other hand, involves the purchase of physical property and most people are familiar with real estate to some degree. In the case where they aren’t, Estate agents are the best people to talk to. Investing in real estate can be much easier to understand than complex investments developed by mathematicians.

Real Estate Is Improvable

After you buy a stock, you hold it for a period of time and hopefully sell it for a profit. The success of the stock depends on company management and their corporate success, which is out of your control.

In contrast, real estate investments are directly under your control. Though you can’t control demographic and economic changes, or acts of God, you can control many things relating to the physical property and tenants. With good management of your overall real estate portfolio, you can tangibly improve the value of your investment and build wealth.

HAMMER and Tongues St George’s Invitational Soccer Tournament dates have been set with defending champions Prince Edward being the only missing team in this year’s tournament.

PE won the annual tournament, which is running for the sixth year, last year but will not be available to defend their title on May 25 and 26 at St George’s College.

The Hammer and Tongues St George’s invitational came to life in 2013 and this year the tournament features more than 24 teams from private, government and mission schools.

The Peter Lovemore Trophy Under-20 will have a number of schools battling for honours.

A Hammer and Tongues representative said the tournament was growing bigger and better each year and people should expect a football fun experience with lots of activities happening on the days.

“This time we have 24 schools because the tournament will be happening on a holiday but we normally have 20 schools. We have four new schools on board which are Inkomo High School, Milestone College, St John’s Chikwaka and Manyame Air Base High School. This year the tournament is going to be two full days of football fun with lots of fun activities to add pleasure to the event.

“The standard and the competitiveness of the tournament has improved over the years and it has proved to be the most popular schools sporting events. The tournament was oversubscribed with many schools requesting to participate and we hope to continue expanding the tourney in our quest to nurture the young sporting talent,” he said.

Some of the teams expected to participate at the tournament include St George’s A, St George’s B, Peterhouse College, Falcon College, Christian Brother College (CBC), Sodbury School, Nhowe Mission, Goromonzi High, St Ignatius College, Induna High, Masvingo High, Tynwald High, St John’s High, St Peters Kubatana, Kutama Marist Brothers, St John’s College, Westridge High, Marondera High, Mufakose High 2.
